AND IT WAS REAL

Hookah at Ethnic Bar in Cheongju, South Korea

It was a time. It was a place. And it was real.

Tonight was a beautiful clashing of my life’s experiences, a true cultural explosion of sorts. I love getting together with friends from around the world, at random spaces throughout.

It was a time. It was a place. And it was real.

Barely noticeable from the outside, Ethnic Bar in Cheongju is an eclectically decorated basement which offers the ideal setting for a perfect slice of life to be had. We puffed on our hookah, and let laughter billow from our room.

It was a time. It was a place. And it was real.

Rina (who was a big part of my life in Guyana, South America) sat to my left, and Ryan (who is a big part of my life in Korea) sat to my right. Strangers to each other before our paths happened to cross; we sat together for a shared moment. Brought together for a reason.

It was a time. It was a place. And it was real.
