Although it does not always seem so, I am a very organized person. At least I try to be. Unfortunately, at this point in life I am quite backed up when it comes to most things. If you make “to do” lists for ‘to do’ lists, you will understand what I mean. There are many areas and aspects of my life in need of rearrangement.

One major task I had been meaning to do for years was unclutter my Gmail account. It took an entire weekend to sort through, respond to, and/or throw away nearly 2,500 messages; but, I did it! My email Inbox is now clean and neatly arranged. It feels good, but this is only the beginning.

I have not properly managed computer files for months, maybe years. This has resulted in folders upon folders titled, Organize, LOOK AT ME, Duplicate—You get the point. What makes it worse is I have two computers to unclutter. And do not even get me started on Facebook.

Technology has truly shaped my life, yours, and our world. I do not want to turn back to “the good ole days”. I love using the Internet for almost everything. But, even though I am a man with little, I feel weighed down by how hard it is to keep up with what is supposed the make life more efficient. Do you know what I mean?

Part of the reason I have waited so long to tidy my desktop, documents and social media accounts is because I did not even know where to start. I finally came the realization that I had to start somewhere. Accepting that I simply cannot keep up with everything is not an excuse to put off doing anything.
